Meet The Face Behind 1st Selection Home Inspection

I’m Jason A. Boshart, the proud owner of 1st Selection Home Inspection.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

My main goal behind starting this company was to assist my clients through the home buying process. I, too, was once a first time home buyer, so I personally understand that a house is a significant investment for growing families. As a result, I aim to protect my clients against any hidden defects that may go unseen by an untrained eye. That way, my clients are aware of the advantages and shortcomings of a property before they make a purchase decision.

Initially, I started working in the real estate industry as a home builder and remodeling specialist. Many of the clients who came to me were first-time homebuyers that required unanticipated repairs due to undisclosed defects in the home they recently purchased. Their troubles inspired me to get into the home inspection business to help others like them to see a house for what it really is before buying it.

Compared to when I first started as a home inspector, today’s technologically advanced inspectors have access to state of the art tools and equipment to gauge the integrity of buildings, roofs, floors, and more. Some of these technologies include drone roof inspections with high definition quality photos of the roof’s surface. Digital reports are another advancement that allows us to directly send our assessments to our clients’ inbox, thus making the navigation of the home inspection report relatively quick and straightforward. There’s no need to fumble around with a bunch of paperwork anymore!

By offering our clients these conveniences and sufficient information about prospective properties, we can help them make educated decisions. Simultaneously, with the use of modern technology, we can make the home inspection process more enjoyable for our clients.

Our philosophy at 1st Selection Home Inspection is to prevent clients from purchasing a two-story home. That is one story before they buy and a second story after. With our services, we aim to provide them a complete account of the home they want to live in. We check every inch of the property thoroughly and spare no detail in our inspection report.

When I’m not inspecting houses, I like to play golf to unwind and destress. Besides this, I am very passionate about teaching people about homes, especially the ones they consider their dream property.
